Are you looking for a plate heat exchanger that combines long service life and high quality? One that works simple and smooth? The key to this – apart from the heat exchanger itself – is its correct design.
BMS-Energietechnik not only offers brazed plate heat exchangers from leading manufacturers (Alfa Laval, Kelvion, Swep), but also knows the applications – from domestic installations to industrial process technology.
We therefore offer you:
This has a positive impact on both the investment and the operating and maintenance costs. Because we don't look at the price, we look at your costs.
Heat transfer is very important in many processes (e.g. in industry, district heating, district cooling, etc.). Optimal heat utilisation can significantly reduce resource equirements and operating costs while also contributing to climate and environmental protection.

Yes. An oversized plate heat exchanger often causes problems during operation. The excessive number of channels (plates) results in too little pressure loss, which often leads to contamination. As a result, the plate heat exchanger no longer achieves the required performance.
Depending on the manufacturer and type, delivery times vary from one week (from stock) to over a year. Thanks to our large stock of standard types and our good relationships with three different manufacturers, we can procure a plate heat exchanger for almost any application within a reasonable time.

It is important to have a compact, space-saving design with high efficiency and increased requirements for operational safety, as well as a design that is optimised in terms of service life and contamination behaviour.
But what exactly is important when purchasing plate heat exchangers?
The price, of course! However, there are other important features that should be considered.
1. The surface area
The usable surface area of the exchanger, or in other words the active surface area, is always crucial. The installed (usually specified) surface area is not 100% usable.
2. Pressure losses
It is essential to ensure that the pressure loss is reasonable. Too great a pressure drop leads to higher energy consumption and thus higher operating costs. On the other hand, too little pressure loss leads to poor turbulence, poor heat transfer and greater susceptibility to contamination. High pressure loss promotes shear force on the plate and thus the self-cleaning effect of the plate heat exchanger.
3. Gradation
The heat exchanger should be designed according to realistic operating conditions. However, even a very small adjustment to the gradation can have a significant impact on the size and price of the heat exchanger. Too small a gradation makes the exchanger large and therefore expensive.
4. Plate depth
One criterion that is often overlooked is the plate depth. This must be selected based on the medium used.
5. Ease of maintenance
When selecting your plate heat exchanger, think about the first service, because it will definitely be needed. Service-friendly exchangers are very easy to open, easy to close and, most importantly, they can be resealed quickly (short downtime).
6. Warranty
A warranty extension to 5 years is possible!
